Annual Service and Supper

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

On 21st July 2010 the Company held its Annual Service which was followed by supper on the King Edward Thames Cruiser.

The July Court meeting was followed by the Annual Church Service at St Mary-le-Bow at which the Master read the lesson and our Chaplain, the Reverend George Bush, gave the address. During the service a collection was made for the St Mary-le-Bow Young Homeless Project which is also the Master's chosen Charity for his year.

After the service the party was conducted to Tower Pier to join the King Edward in a double decker bus arranged and driven by Liveryman John Coleman. Supper was taken as the King Edward made its way upriver to Puitney and back and, having let those who had early trains to catch, the evening was completed with a run downriver for a view of the Canary Wharf towers from the water.
