Christopher Gardner, QC

Christopher Gardner, QC, a Liveryman of the Company, has been appointed Chief Justice of the Turks & Caicos Islands.

His wide ranging brief will include trying civil and criminal cases as well as assuming responsibility for the administration of justice in the British Dependent Territories.

Christopher, a Recorder, is on record as saying that he wanted a new challenge, having been a QC for 10 years and head of Lamb Chambers in Middle Temple for six, a post from which he recently stood down. He has a varied practice at the Bar with a focus on professional and clinical negligence work.

He is apparently looking forward to life in the Islands, especially "snorkelling off 225 miles of beaches, eating spiny lobster and cooking curried conch".
