In 2021\, she was part of the first all-female Court of Appeal panel in Wales\, sitting alongside Lady Justice Nicola Davies and Mrs Justice Steyn. \nAt the event we will be joined by some of the country’s leaders in Private Dispute Resolution and by Masters of other Livery Companies. It promises to be a most convivial occasion so please consider inviting colleagues\, friends or family to join us. \nThe reception will commence at 12:30 pm with luncheon at 1.00 pm. Dress code is Lounge Suits with livery badges. \nThe event is available for booking on the Company website so please do so as soon as possible and in any event by Monday 9th February\, after which no refunds can be made. DESCRIPTION:Continuing our inter-livery fellowship in the festive season\, the Arbitrators’\, City of London Solicitors’\, Scriveners’ and International Bankers’\nCompanies will be holding our joint Carol Service at St Mary-le-Bow Church\, Cheapside\, London EC2V 6AU. The four Masters and their Wardens very much hope you will join them for what promises to be a very joyful and convivial evening. \nWe look forward to meeting The Rev’d Dr Simon Cuff who will lead the Service. Father Simon commenced as Rector of the Church in September and is the newly appointed  Honorary Chaplain of our Company. Please make him feel welcome within our Arbitrators fellowship. \nThe Service will start at 6.00 m\, after which refreshments will be served at the rear of the church.  The cost will be £25 per head to include the shared costs of the service and the refreshments. DESCRIPTION:It is an honour to have been elected as Master of our Company. I am looking forward to the challenge of the year ahead. \nOn 28th October we have the first major event of our new social year: the Installation Dinner. It is a special occasion when we will thank Nicola Cohen for her sterling work as Master and mark my installation as Master\, that of Peter King as Senior Warden and Karin Walker as Junior Warden. \nIt is my pleasure to invite you and your guests to what should be an enjoyable and memorable occasion. \nOur Guest Speaker will be The Rt Hon Lord Justice Peter Fraser KC\, the current Chair of the Law Commission\, former head of the Technology and Construction Court and the managing judge of the group litigation between Bates & Others v Post Office Limited. \nI will be unveiling our plans for the upcoming year and we will be making outstanding service awards to our affiliated military units. I encourage you to sign up early to avoid disappointment. \nIt will take place at Goldsmiths’ Hall opened in 1835\, the third Hall of the Goldsmiths’ Company to be located there since 1339. Positioned at the junction of Foster Lane and Gresham Street\, north east of St Paul’s Cathedral\, the magnificent hall is one of London’s hidden treasures. \nDress for the occasion is Dinner Jacket (black tie) and decorations. \nThe Installation Court\, also to be held at Goldsmiths’ Hall\, is timed for 6.00 pm. You and your guests are invited and encouraged to attend and witness the ceremonies. Following the Installation Court\, the Reception will commence at 6.45pm\, followed by Dinner at 7.30 pm. Dinner will conclude with a Stirrup Cup. Carriages are at 10.30 pm. DESCRIPTION:The undoubted highlight of our social calendar\, our Charter Banquet\, will take place on Tuesday 6 May in the magnificent surroundings of the Egyptian Hall at the Mansion House\, home of the Lord Mayor of the City of London – which a predecessor referred to as ‘the poshest council house in London’. \nWe are honoured by the presence of:\nThe Rt Hon The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress\,\nAlderman and Sheriff Gregory Jones KC and his consort Rosali Pretorius\,\nSheriff David Chalk and his consort Miranda Chalk \nand representatives from other Livery Companies.\nMembers are reminded that both the Lord Mayor and Alderman and Sheriff Greg are liverymen of our Company! We are most grateful for their support in attending during their busy years of office. \nTimings will be arrival at 6.45 for 7.30 pm\, with carriages at 10.30 pm. The reception will be preceded by ceremonies to admit candidates to the freedom of the company and to clothe those eligible in the livery\, should you wish to arrive earlier to witness them. \nDress will be Evening Dress/White Tie and Tails preferred\, but Dinner Jacket/Black Tie is an acceptable alternative. \nTickets will be £160 per person. \nThis year’s Charter Banquet is an occasion not to be missed and is a great opportunity to invite family members and professional guests to a truly unique experience in the City of London which will live long in the memory.
