The Worshipful Company of Arbitrators is delighted to support Saracens High School in London NW9. We have received the following update from them. You can read more about Saracens MAT here: Saracens School; and about our support for them here:

“The recent events at Saracens Rugby Club and their relegation from the Premiership at the end of this season because of ‘Salary Cap’ breaches is a sad outcome for the club but has not impacted on the Saracens High School progress.

The DFE has committed to the creation of the Saracens Junior School which is timetabled to open in September 2021

The contract for the new building to house the High School and Junior School has been finalised and work on site has commenced with completion scheduled for the middle of 2021. When the school completes its intake cycle there will be some 1300 students in one of the most deprived areas of London.

The School has received significant support from all stakeholders with parents and students giving significant praise to a motivated and committed teaching staff lead by Dr Matthew Stevens who are seen by the Trust and LGB as inspirational and already changing the profile of education.

A Coat of Arms has been commissioned with the College of Arms having completed the initial design for comment and final approval.

The first OFSTED Inspection is due later this academic year and we are hopeful that a strong report will be the outcome. With the work and effort employed by all involved the result will be keenly awaited.”
