We are delighted that Past Master Vicky Russell has been elected Chair of the Livery Committee. This is a very important role, particularly because the Committee acts as a link between the Livery and the City of London Corporation. Vicky has been an active member of the Committee, chairing the Livery Companies Working Group, responsible for the Livery Liaison Scheme, since 2013 and the Communications Working Group since 2015. The latter group is responsible for the four annual City Briefings, as well as the annual Wardens and Court Assistants course and the Clerks’ Briefing.
In her election address, Vicky stated that, in her view, the Livery Committee is at a critical stage of its development, most particularly in light of the growing momentum of the Pan-Livery Initiative.
