Our 2019 Arbitration Competition was held from 18 to 20 January. We are very grateful to Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner in London, who generously hosted this hugely successful event.

Entries were invited from teams of two to four contestants, consisting of individuals from UK and Irish universities, law schools, law firms, inns of court or barristers’ chambers, all of whom were Law or Bar students and not yet in full-time practice. For this year’s competition we had an all-new international case and generous cash and trophy prizes. Competitors acted as advocates for the parties, gaining valuable experience of cross-examining real-life expert witnesses as the hearing progressed over the weekend. All those who participated found the event both enjoyable and informative and the competitors were of a very high standard.

We are delighted to announce the winners. Many congratulations to all who took part.
